Wild Atlantic, gentle plains
The coast is about ten minutes down the road. The beaches here are wide and usually empty, with good surf and a handful of small fishing villages nearby, all part of a protected natural park.
Behind the house, the Alentejo opens up into cork oaks and olive groves, quiet back roads, and lunches that stretch well into the afternoon if you let them.
